The “Exploring Emotions: Learning Together” course offers an enriching experience for children who wish to strengthen their emotional skills. With four levels designed to promote emotional development through interactive activities, games, and multimedia resources, this course is available in both English and Spanish. Each level lasts 4 weeks, with one lesson per week, and is aimed at children ages 3 to 15.
Course levels:
Level 1: Emotional Explorers
- Basic introduction to emotions.
- Activities to identify and express emotions, such as memory games with basic emotions.
- Bilingual stories adapted for young children, such as “The Colour Monster”.
- Emotional literacy exercises to define and clarify concepts, such as the difference between jealousy and envy.
Level 2: Thrill Adventurers
- Deepen the understanding of emotions.
- Practical exercises to improve emotional communication within the family, such as emotional diaries and emotional wheels.
- Artistic activities to encourage emotional expression, such as representing emotions through painting or drawing.
- Role-playing games to explore different emotional situations, such as acting out a scene that evokes joy or fear.
Level 3: Masters of emotions
- Focus on developing emotional skills.
- Strategies to practice and improve emotional skills, such as changing negative thoughts into positive ones using NLP.
- Creative team project to apply emotional skills in everyday situations, such as resolving conflicts with friends or siblings.
Level 4: Emotional Experts
- Reflection on emotional management and self-knowledge.
- Discussion of topics related to emotional and cultural diversity.
- Plan actions to promote inclusion and empathy in the community, such as organizing events to raise awareness about cultural diversity.
