Marta Orden Jiménez: The Magic of Emotions Told Through Stories

Marta Orden Jiménez is the author of several of the books we use at Fireflies to deeply explore the social and emotional aspects of our work with children. This is how we bring to life the magic of stories and the most human of values.

With 22 years of experience as a teacher, Marta discovered that the best way to teach a child is by meeting them at their level, eye to eye… and with bags full of love. Alongside her rich educational journey, she also brings her experience as a children’s book author and storyteller. In every story she tells, Marta shares emotions, spreads smiles, and opens up worlds full of values.

She came to the United States in search of new challenges and experiences that would help her continue to grow—and that’s when our little fireflies found her light. I remember that first encounter as a true firefly gathering: everyone eager to learn, create, and shine. Since then, we’ve been connected, continuing to share light in everything we do.

Marta’s events immerse us in atmospheres where emotions take center stage and values guide every story. Inspired by her tales, we create motivating activities that help children playfully learn how to recognize and manage their emotions, speak assertively, develop empathy, and—above all—love and value themselves a little more each day.
